Help is needed to pay for Layla’s medical expenses. This poor girl was dumped months ago and has only survived thanks to the help of our friends at Scheller Precision Design. who fed her and kept an eye on her until she could be caught. For that, our friends at H.A.R.T.T. came to the rescue and were able to trap her!
Now that she is off the streets and safely in our care, we can finally help her. Because she just came to the shelter, she’s had a (much needed) bath and has not been evaluated by a vet just yet, but we currently estimate her medical costs will be about $2000 in total.
Around $1500 of that will be needed surgery to correct her double cherry eyes, which need to be addressed as soon as possible in order to prevent vision loss, and the rest will be for the vet visit as well as the standard costs for getting spayed and vaccinated, etc.
That is is just what we can see so far. If we need to update this amount or her status, we will do so later.
